BEHIND THE LENS
I started my first job as a Press photographer in Northumberland & came down to Accrington after a few years to work for a local photographer where I had a grounding in Retail & Processing. In 1982 I moved to my current address & have now been involved in photography now for over 45 years. This gives me a wealth of experience to draw from and enables me to get the best out of those that I have in front of the camera.I love my job with a passion & really enjoy what I do best......." To make people look & feel just great "
ABOUT THE STUDIO
We moved here into our current premises in 1982.............it was in an awful mess and because of its age needed lots of TLC and effort to change it into what it is today, We have a very calm and easy going look to our premises thanks to the help and eye of my lovely wife Islay, she is mainly behind the way it looks now. Our studio is upstairs, (so please consider this when booking elderly or disabled people) where we have changing areas and a bathroom, the whole feel is very spacious & airy with a beautiful Maple floor which I use regularly in the photos. Usually a "shoot " is about 30 - 45 minutes long ( much shorter with young children ) & we give you plenty of options on images when you come in to view them a couple of days later, we do recommend strongly that you leave the kids with grandparents at the viewings so that you can relax and enjoy seeing your photos without being distracted. We produce many of our photos for your wall, and suggest that you measure up at home to see what room you have, most of what we make is totally individual and can be produced in all shapes and sizes.e paragraph. It's easy.( Warner Street, the oldest shopping street in Accrington, is nearly 200 years old and is full of independent & individually owned shops where we all care passionately about our clients & you will not find any of them on the High Street, it also has a lovely Victorian Arcade lower down with more shops selling unusual products.) There is 2-hour free parking outside the door and 2 free car parks off Oak Street, see the map below right. We look forward to welcoming you, your Family & Dog to our lovely studio soon, Trevor & Islay.
Over a period of years, we have donated countless Portrait vouchers to the majority of Charities & local Hospices that are dear to us all. This has helped them earn thousands of pounds that are necessary for them to survive and help all sorts of people in life who so much need their help. This year we have added The Dogs Trust, please keep a look in Facebook to see the offers we have available.
A special thank you to all our clients who are featured in this samples video
